📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-based care, patient education, and counseling for midlife health concerns • Evaluate, manage, educate, counsel, and treat patients with common and complex menopause-related concerns • Provide medical management of menopausal health concerns, including menopausal hormone therapy • Manage symptomatic perimenopause, including hormonal contraception, IUD use, and cyclic progestogen therapy • Manage symptoms for patients with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer risk, high-risk cancer, and cancer survivorship using hormonal and non-hormonal approaches • Manage symptoms in patients with higher-risk conditions, including tobacco use, clotting disorders, cardiovascular disease, valvular disease, liver disorders, and transplant history • Assess abnormal and postmenopausal bleeding • Address menopause-related cognitive and mood changes, genitourinary syndrome, vulvar dermatoses, vulvovaginitis, weight management, sexual health, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic floor concerns • Provide routine gynecologic care based on menopause patient volume • Provide family planning and reproductive life-planning counseling • Perform routine screening examinations and cervical cancer screening • Refer patients for age- and risk-appropriate mammography, bone density, and colorectal cancer screening • Screen and treat sexually transmitted infections • Evaluate breast changes or masses and pelvic or abdominal pain • Provide routine postoperative follow-up and problem visits • Treat vulvar cysts and abscesses • Perform IUD placement and removal, endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, and other in-person gynecologic assessments and treatments within scope, credentials, and privileges • Work with experienced Complex Menopause providers receiving mentorship and clinical oversight • Support variable scheduling, including early-evening and weekend hours

🎯 Requirements

• Nurse Practitioners: completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing • Physician Assistants: completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program; Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred • Certified Nurse Midwives: completion of an accredited graduate-level nurse-midwifery program at the MSN or DNP level • BLS required • Nurse Practitioners: current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina and national Nurse Practitioner certification required • Physician Assistants: licensed in North Carolina and certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants • Certified Nurse Midwives: current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina and national Nurse Midwife certification required • DEA license for applicable practice state(s) • Two or more years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife in Women's Health • Experience managing midlife Women's Health concerns • Experience or training in sexual health management and/or prescribing anti-obesity pharmacotherapy • Menopause-focused certification or comparable training preferred, or must be licensed within six months of employment • Applicants should identify every state where they currently hold an active professional license and any compact licensure status
