📋 Description

• Lead developer events and in-person community strategy • Choose where 1Password should appear and create recurring developer gatherings • Build relationships with developers beyond individual events • Build a calendar of conferences, meetups, and 1Password-hosted events • Recommend sponsorship, speaking, participation, and hosting opportunities • Evaluate conference and sponsorship opportunities • Manage organizer relationships and event budgets • Partner with the events team on execution • Plan and run meetups, workshops, dinners, and other gatherings • Own event formats, speakers, venues, invitations, and on-site execution • Create ways for developers to stay connected and contribute between events • Host events and represent 1Password in person • Partner with the Principal Developer Advocate on talks, technical content, and developer experiences • Work with marketing and sales on follow-up paths and event impact measurement • Share community learnings and measure contributions to relationships, adoption, and pipeline • Capture photos, short videos, and takeaways for LinkedIn and X • Start the program in San Francisco and New York City and expand to other cities over time

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building developer events or communities, ideally at a developer tools, infrastructure, or technology company • Track record of growing an engaged community beyond increasing registrations or attendance • Strong event production skills • Experience managing sponsorships, vendors, and budgets • Comfort working with developer advocates, marketing, and sales • Strong relationships and communication skills with developers, organizers, speakers, partners, and internal teams • Ability to work independently and prioritize well • Ability and willingness to travel as the program grows • Existing relationships in the San Francisco or New York developer communities are a bonus • Experience working in security, identity, or infrastructure is a bonus • Must already be legally authorized to work in the United States; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship provided • Successful applicants must complete a background check
