📋 Description

• Maintain the organization's content calendar • Create and schedule social media content • Design graphics and visual assets • Gather updates, events, and stories from internal teams • Turn internal information into clear external-facing content • Help prioritize activities and initiatives for promotion • Maintain consistent social media activity • Draft and edit social media copy and supporting communications • Support the organization's biweekly newsletter as capacity allows • Assist with Giving Tuesday and year-end fundraising communications • Organize communications projects and deadlines • Maintain consistency across multiple program areas • Perform basic video editing • Assist with voiceovers or social video preparation • Organize communications assets • Use Monday.com to track projects, deadlines, and deliverables • Help improve existing project-management workflows where appropriate • Deliver services according to agreed timelines, guidelines, and deliverables • Support a Massachusetts-based environmental justice nonprofit's day-to-day communications and digital content efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Previous digital marketing, communications, or social media experience required • Graphic design experience required • Content calendar and social media management experience required • Strong written English required • Strong project-management skills • Newsletter/copywriting experience preferred • Basic video-editing experience preferred • Spanish/English bilingual ability is a plus but not required • Nonprofit or community-based organization experience is a plus • Strong social media and content-creation background • Good graphic-design skills • Highly organized with strong project-management ability • Comfortable collaborating with multiple internal teams • Strong attention to detail • Able to work in a fast-moving environment • Capable of independently maintaining recurring communications workflows • Comfortable supporting a mission-driven organization • Proficiency with Canva/graphic design tools • Knowledge of social media platforms • Monday.com knowledge preferred • Knowledge of email/newsletter platforms • Knowledge of video editing tools • English required; Spanish bilingual ability a plus • Strong written and spoken English required • Ability to work Monday through Friday for 20 contracted hours per week • Independent contractor status under a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work
