β’ Direct, manage, and lead project teams β’ Scheduling, coordinating and supervising of craft employees and assigned staff at project sites β’ Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management β’ Successfully execute projects safely, on time, and within budget β’ Organizing and planning field activities for craft and equipment resources β’ Review and use project schedules to plan and direct field activities β’ Provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications β’ Safely and efficiently supervise large scale heavy earth moving construction projects β’ Train craft labor in the function and intended use of construction equipment on projects β’ Communicate with and lead a team composed of different crafts and subcontractors β’ Recognize potential changes and other project impacts and assist project management with notices and claims β’ Oversee work performance and productivity of crafts and subcontractors to ensure project rules, procedures, specifications, safety requirements, etc. are followed β’ Assist with selection and hiring of project craft personnel β’ Ensure craft timecards accurately reflect hours and job tasks worked β’ Advise project management of potential changes (scope and conditions), potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.; assist in circumventing /resolving such problems as required β’ Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. at least 2 weeks in advance β’ Committed to and responsible for Safety Culture & actively involved in project Health and Safety, including: Enforces the site and corporate Health and Safety Plans β’ Works with the site Health and Safety Officer β’ Ability to review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis β’ Perform pre-task planning β’ Brief craft before assigning new task β’ Participate in incident investigation and reporting β’ Responsible for training and mentoring of operators, laborers, and foreman.
β’ High School diploma β’ 10+ years experience supervising in similar facility construction, technology, methods and equipment, tools and work procedures. β’ Must pass DMV driving qualifications. β’ Knowledge and understanding of construction scheduling, cost control. β’ Demonstrated ability to manage projects to scope, schedule, and budget. β’ Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and manage responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate work. β’ Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite required with experience in MS Project and PowerPoint a plus. β’ Strong understanding of industry experience/background. β’ Focus on successful execution of current and future project portfolio. β’ Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams. β’ Current OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER and Supervisor Training. β’ Understanding of relevant environmental regulations and related experience with permit applications and associated processes. β’ Managing subcontractors and field activities. β’ Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
