📋 Description

• Identify emerging trends and issues and present them to senior management • Perform complex data analysis for Commercial Claims aligned with business and portfolio objectives • Interpret proposals, evaluate findings, and guide outcomes • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights • Conduct root-cause, cost-benefit, performance-tracking, forecasting, and exploratory analyses • Identify and interpret trends, risks, and opportunities affecting client and portfolio performance • Formulate data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, loss outcomes, and business strategy • Collaborate with Claims, Product, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, and Technology partners • Communicate insights, conclusions, and recommended actions to senior leadership • Build relationships supporting adoption and execution of insights • Contribute to data pipelines, reporting frameworks, analytical standards, metric definitions, governance, and scalable analytics practices • Support AI-enabled and automated analytics capabilities • Leverage industry data and knowledge to evaluate results • Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior analysts • Foster a collaborative, curious, and high-performing team culture • Research, analyze, present to management, and train staff on logic used in new tools and approaches to market and legislative changes

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of directly related analytical experience in a related industry • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL (Snowflake preferred), Visual Basic, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau • Knowledge of structured analysis and design techniques • Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing, and mathematical skills • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience • Ability to conduct meetings and deliver formal presentations • Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate, and train staff • Strong oral and written communication skills • Expert knowledge of insurance, accounting, and rate-making concepts • Ability to independently solve technical challenges using online resources • Demonstrated analytical agility and curiosity • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment • Direct claims experience or analytical actuarial experience preferred • Knowledge of insurance and rate-making concepts • Pursuit or completion of relevant continuing education, graduate degrees, MBS, insurance designations, or actuarial exams/designations preferred • 2–3 years of mentoring experience preferred • Advanced degree in a related field preferred • Insurance product, price, underwriting, and commercial Claims Operations knowledge • Ability to travel as needed for divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States • CSAA does not provide visa sponsorship
