📋 Description

• Support the Country Trade Compliance Officer in developing, implementing, and executing the U.S. Trade Compliance Program strategy • Lead initiatives ensuring compliance with U.S. import, export, sanctions, and trade regulations • Drive continuous improvement of country trade compliance processes • Advise Local Trade Compliance Officers on trade compliance risks and regulatory requirements • Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks through monitoring and controls • Support investigations, corrective and preventive action plans, risk reviews, and due diligence evaluations • Support and manage Annual Trade Review activities and ensure remediation gaps are closed timely • Manage the tri-annual Global Trade Risk Assessment for U.S.-controlled items and sensitive countries • Monitor compliance performance through reviews, assessments, metrics, and KPIs • Coordinate remediation from audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments • Manage Country Trade Recordkeeping Repositories • Partner with logistics, procurement, engineering, sales, legal, and other business functions • Provide guidance on import/export transactions, product classifications, licensing requirements, and jurisdiction determinations • Develop and deploy U.S. trade compliance training and awareness initiatives • Support interactions with CBP, BIS, DDTC, OFAC, and other U.S. government agencies • Assist with disclosures, audits, inquiries, and regulatory examinations • Monitor regulatory developments and assess operational impacts • Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and trade compliance due diligence • Develop metrics and executive reporting on compliance effectiveness and risk exposure

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in supply chain and/or trade management field (preferred) and 10+ years of experience managing U.S. trade compliance programs; or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and/or trade management field (preferred) and 12+ years of experience in U.S. trade compliance • Customs Broker License strongly preferred • Certified Import and/or Export Specialist preferred but not required • Super-user for Microsoft Platform tools and systems • Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP/GTS strongly preferred • Proven track record managing trade compliance programs under U.S. trade regulations • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs, BIS, EAR, OFAC, and ITAR regulations • Ability to establish and maintain relationships globally, nationally, and across company functions • Ability to work remotely within a country team in a complex, decentralized organization while supporting multiple business divisions • Must already have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the U.S.
