📋 Description

• Provide direction and assistance to the work group to meet assigned objectives • Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment • Communicate with internal and external customers to schedule jobs and order materials • Perform safety analysis and paperwork before starting work • Execute hands-on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment • Work with transformers, switchgear, OCBs, circuit breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, relays, power management control systems, and related equipment • Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, contractors, project managers, and site engineers • Write technical reports, job status reports, customer reports, timesheets, expense sheets, and cost-control documentation • Plan, organize, and perform multifunctional field assignments; direct field engineers and craft labor as required • Plan, prepare, and instruct internal and external training programs • Maintain accurate field information in reporting systems • Control costs and expenditures and safeguard company equipment • Deliver high customer satisfaction • Work with customers and ABB sales/service teams to identify service opportunities, develop proposals, and execute work scopes • Develop knowledge of ABB Industrial Solutions, terms and conditions, and customer/subcontractor requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 additional years of related engineering / field experience • Minimum of 2 years of field engineering experience • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision • Strong business acumen • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen • Ability to work indoors/outdoors year-round in all climates and at remote work sites • Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs/ladders and scaffolding, and work at heights • Ability to drive long distances and fly to customer locations • Ability to transport, operate, and set up test equipment; solo lift 10–50 lbs., with team lifts required for heavier equipment • Preferred: Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area • Preferred: Technical skills in testing power distribution and delivery equipment, including low-voltage and medium-voltage breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers • Preferred: Experience repairing and refurbishing LV and MV circuit breakers, including Siemens, GE, ABB, Square D, Multilin, and Switzer equipment • Preferred: Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting medium-voltage synchronous machines, excitation systems, controls systems, and programmable logic controllers
