📋 Description

• Provide scientific and medical leadership to build professional and credible relationships with strategically important thought leaders and external experts • Establish a strong medical and scientific presence for Abbott Diabetes Care in key academic centers • Facilitate research and educational initiatives • Support requests for medical and scientific information on products and therapeutic areas • Collaborate cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence • Serve as a medical and scientific affairs contact for thought leaders and external experts in the assigned geographic area • Deliver credible scientific presentations to healthcare providers individually or in groups • Participate in selecting qualified thought leaders for educational and advisory collaborations • Attend scientific meetings and conferences • Develop summaries of key data and scientifically relevant information with internal stakeholders • Staff the Medical Affairs area at national scientific meetings and congresses • Provide scientific and technical support for scientific or medical publications • Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies and accepted standards of best practice

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health sciences field • Preferred advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, MD/DO, NP/DNP, PA, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline; candidates with an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience will be considered • Clinical licensure and board certification required, such as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate or Pharmacist, in accordance with applicable state and/or national regulations • Board certification must be current and relevant to the clinical scope of practice • Ability to travel 50% of the time
