📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections and gain calls to action during sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage and sales opportunities • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales practices • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales-management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, and a high school diploma/GED required • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer styles and behaviors • Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Leadership and peer coaching experience • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements • Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test • Must meet safe driving requirements • Must be able to drive a personal auto, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment
