📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts • Build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize sales performance • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and execute post-call evaluations • Handle objections and gain calls to action during sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage and sales opportunities • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, products, clinical information, and sales practices • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required • Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, with three or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred • High school diploma/GED required • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer styles and behaviors • Ability to develop sales strategies and innovative solutions • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Leadership and peer coaching experience • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • Proven sales performance within respective therapeutic areas preferred • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Ability to satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
