• Perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on telecommunication and data center HVAC equipment • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems • Perform routine preventative maintenance • Respond to emergency service requests • Work on Marvair, Bard, Carrier, Trane, Goodman, McLean, and outside air economizer systems • Participate in a rotating on-call team responding to emergency calls 24/7 • Travel daily to job site(s) and work independently • Read wiring schematics and troubleshoot refrigeration and electronic control circuits using monitoring tools • Repair field problems • Provide accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and commentary reflecting field conditions • Adhere to safety policies, PPE requirements, and facility safety policies
• High school Diploma • HVAC School: 200 Hours Minimum • Valid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate • 150 Electrical Code hours • 4000 work hours for Level I and Level II; 6000 work hours for Level III • Valid EPA certification • Level II: 20 Hours of Continuing Education Training • Level III: 80 Hours of Continuing Education Training and/or pass the NATE Service (CHP-5) certification test • Willingness to work nights and weekends on a rotating on-call team for 24/7 emergency calls • Knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to troubleshoot and service commercial equipment under 10 tons • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and system controls • Ability to travel daily to job sites and work independently • Ability to read and understand wiring schematics • Diagnostic skills for basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits • Dexterity to repair field problems using monitoring tools • Professional communication skills • Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and commentary • Basic computer skills • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance • Compliance with assigned location PPE requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, protective clothing, shields, and closed-toed or safety shoes
