📋 Description

• Review deposition transcripts in detail after each deposition • Identify key testimony, discrepancies, and case-relevant issues • Cross-reference transcripts against case files, medical records, and prior discovery • Update case files with new facts, admissions, and developments • Conduct post-deposition discussions with clients • Explain transcript significance and answer client questions • Communicate next steps and impacts on case strategy or value • Serve as a consistent point of contact during the post-deposition phase • Manage a steady, high-volume review queue • Track and enter billable time according to firm billing practices • Flag cases requiring escalation to the assigned trial attorney or other legal team members • Focus exclusively on reviewing completed transcripts; does not take or defend depositions

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school • Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing • Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law and deposition procedure • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to explain complex legal information to clients in plain terms • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Ability to manage a high volume of files • Accurate and timely billing/time-entry habits • Prior experience reviewing depositions or transcripts in a workers' compensation or civil litigation practice preferred but not required • Experience with client-facing case discussions preferred • Familiarity with ALG internal case management and billing systems, or ability to learn quickly
