📋 Description

• Accurately bill customer accounts and assure timely remittance • Take immediate action on issues involving account integrity • Follow up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow • Answer questions from customers, clerical staff, and insurance companies • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints • Handle customer collection calls • Document activities in the ERP system accurately and promptly • Ensure billing activity is handled correctly • Provide feedback to the Group Team Lead, Supervisor, and Manager regarding account issues • Conduct routine tasks under clearly defined guidelines • Contribute to specific objectives and outcomes as directed

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • 1+ years of customer service or related experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook • Excellent communication skills and proper phone and email etiquette • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance HCPC/ICD-9 codes • Ability to evaluate and secure needed Rx’s, PA’s and medical justification to facilitate payment of claims • Ability to edit and resubmit claims for payment • Ability to prepare and review clean claims for submission to various insurers electronically or on paper
