📋 Description

• Processes patient changes in insurance. • Ensures that payor changes are completed and payment is guaranteed prior to delivery. • Verifies that the correct product and payor are used for the service, equipment, and therapy. • Contacts payors to verify insurance coverage and eligibility requirements. • Obtains verbal/written authorization for medical treatment. • Verifies insurance information for accuracy and resolves discrepancies. • Researches and resolves accounts to identify gaps between payor requirements and existing billing documentation. • Answers inbound calls from patients with updates to their insurance. • Coordinates and contacts patients, branches, and referrals for required testing as per payor's requirements. • Documents account activity in relevant systems and complies with regulatory policies and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma is required. • One year of related work experience is required. • One year of medical billing experience is required. • Must be familiar with payor contractual requirements. • Basic skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word. • English (reading, writing, verbal) proficiency is required.
