📋 Description

• Deliver expert database administration support across Oracle, Postgres, and MS SQL environments within a mid- to large-scale enterprise setting • Perform daily database health checks • Validate backups • Proactively monitor datacenter resources • Resolve issues and implement preventative measures • Plan, coordinate, and execute release notices • Perform authorized maintenance • Deploy new servers or databases • Create dynamic user-issue documentation • Provide bi-weekly updates • Develop task-based procedural documentation • Improve current infrastructure processes • Manage team ticket queues as needed • Onboard new team members • Participate in weekly meetings • Drive enhancements in training, user documentation, and support tools

🎯 Requirements

• 8 years of experience in database administration • Strong to expert-level knowledge of Oracle, Postgres, and MS SQL databases and applications • Ability to provide dynamic problem documentation (definition, resolution, reporting) • Ability to support scheduled after-hours maintenance • Experience serving as queue manager to assign incoming tickets • Industry experience developing, deploying, and supporting database systems at scale • Full project lifecycle experience: design, development, implementation, documentation • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux; Linux familiarity required • Understanding of enterprise systems management (configuration management, ESD, etc.) • Knowledge of scalability principles, economies of scale, and cost-of-ownership impacts • Broad understanding of cloud technologies, applications, and protocols (TCP/IP, Active Directory, Oracle/Postgres/SQL DBs, Apache Tomcat, MS IIS) • U.S. Citizen • Work authorization in the United States that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
