• Provide pre- and post-sales technical and scientific support, onsite and remotely, for customers across WMG’s NGS and precision enzyme portfolios • Travel across North America, up to 75%, including co-travel with sales team members, customer meetings, training, troubleshooting, and trade shows/conferences • Present technical content to customers and create training materials • Provide deep product knowledge to solve customer challenges, triage issues, troubleshoot investigations, and identify solutions • Inform and implement processes within the North American field-based scientific support organization • Maintain expert-level knowledge of current and new NGS products, workflows, precision enzyme applications, competitor products, and NGS automation support offerings • Provide customer and market feedback and identify unmet customer needs for new product development • Collaborate with commercial teams, research institutions, and industry partners to accelerate the sales cycle • Support marketing through customer-facing technical content, posters, application/technical notes, white papers, webinars, and conference presentations • Participate in sales, marketing, and product strategy meetings • Document customer-related activities and events in CRM according to best practices • Perform additional duties within the role’s remit
• MSc in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field • 4+ years of experience within NGS field applications; candidates with 8+ years of relevant experience may be considered at the Senior level • Relevant field-based applications support experience for NGS experiments and/or other advanced genomics applications • Experience developing, optimizing and troubleshooting NGS workflows manually and on automated platforms • Experience managing large sequencing projects • Advanced knowledge and practical experience with experimental design, applications/assay development, NGS library preparation, PCR, qPCR, good lab practices, and troubleshooting • Automation knowledge of NGS assays is a plus • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time • Strong customer consultative skills, scientific analysis, customer engagement, and relationship-building • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.com, highly desirable • Ability to work in the United States and disclose whether visa sponsorship is required • Three professional references may be requested during the interview process • Must be close to a major airport, within 30 miles • Letter of motivation and resume/CV required in PDF format; applications without a Letter of Motivation will not be considered
