📋 Description

• Perform detailed medical histories, virtual assessments, and clinical evaluations for obesity and metabolic conditions • Develop individualized weight-management treatment plans using nutrition counseling, activity recommendations, behavioral interventions, pharmacotherapy, and referrals when appropriate • Provide ongoing virtual longitudinal care, routine follow-ups, and chronic disease management related to obesity and metabolic health • Order and interpret diagnostic tests necessary for obesity care and metabolic monitoring • Complete documentation in a timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate manner • Ensure compliance with virtual-care guidelines, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards • Provide supportive counseling, motivation, education, and shared decision-making • Deliver empathetic, culturally sensitive care to a diverse adult population • Participate in quality improvement, service excellence, and outcomes-driven program development • Follow access and productivity standards for timely virtual care availability • Utilize standardized evidence-based protocols for obesity care • Work with a multidisciplinary care team including dietitians, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists, and care coordinators • Participate in program meetings, case discussions, and ongoing clinical improvement work • Evaluate patient outcomes and integrate current scientific evidence to improve practice • Communicate through virtual platforms with patients, families, and care team members • Utilize health system resources to support coordinated virtual obesity care

🎯 Requirements

• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician • A minimum of three to five years of experience • Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Obesity/Weight Management is required • Maintenance of Certification required per applicable board standards • Experience in virtual care is preferred • Experience with obesity pharmacotherapy strongly preferred • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care for adults 18 years of age and older
