⢠Learn and apply company estimating systems, processes, terminology, and project-impacting actions ⢠Perform environmental remediation estimates in Microsoft Excel ⢠Manage estimate preparation and support proposal teams developing remediation technical approaches ⢠Lead project team estimate reviews ⢠Collaborate with project teams and management on strategies and plans ⢠Analyze estimates to predict key project issues ⢠Document assumptions for bid-process communication and work execution ⢠Evaluate business opportunities and potential profitability ⢠Apply financial analysis and calculate profitability metrics ⢠Supervise junior staff, establish goals and expectations, and document performance ⢠Identify and develop talent and participate in staffing matters ⢠Track action items ⢠Prepare or assist with ROIC and IRR forecasts ⢠Work with subcontractors on technical matters during proposals, negotiations, and contract execution ⢠Prepare crew build-ups and production rate determinations ⢠Select construction equipment ⢠Develop Work Breakdown Structures ⢠Evaluate scope and execution plans as the basis of estimate ⢠Prepare Estimate Plans, Bases of Estimate, qualifications, and bid tabulations ⢠Collect, analyze, archive, and document project data and historical information ⢠Compare current estimates with previous performance and market benchmark data ⢠Help prepare information for Executive Review Committee presentations
⢠Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration in Business and 4+ years of estimator-related work experience, including environmental remediation, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education ⢠Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check ⢠US Citizenship required ⢠Valid U.S. Driver's License required ⢠Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel ⢠Ability to work independently and collaborate with others ⢠Experience preparing successful estimates for competed, large (>$10M), firm fixed-price performance-based environmental remediation work highly desired ⢠Proficiency with RACER cost estimating tool preferred ⢠Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences across multiple disciplines ⢠Working knowledge of planning and scheduling ⢠Understanding of company cost structure, including overheads, G&A, and insurances ⢠Understanding and application of financial analysis and profitability metrics ⢠Ability to prepare crew build-ups and determine production rates ⢠Ability to determine construction equipment selection ⢠Ability to develop Work Breakdown Structures ⢠Ability to evaluate scope and execution plans for a basis of estimate
