• Lead data center due diligence and design teams across architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, ICT, and BMS/EPMS disciplines • Deliver colocation and hyper-scale data center projects from site due diligence and campus planning through design, construction documents, and construction administration • Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans • Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders • Proactively manage and communicate project changes within AECOM and to clients • Identify problems early and develop creative solutions • Communicate project updates and resolve outstanding issues with stakeholders • Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects • Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders and buyers • Collaborate with global AECOM data center teams on high-profile projects • Travel occasionally for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, and other business-critical activities
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, plus ten (10) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • 10 years of relevant experience required, equivalent to 120 months • Experience managing the design of colocation and hyper-scale data centers • Background in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering • 12 years of relevant experience in design and/or project management preferred • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architecture License preferred • Master’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred • Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional preferred • 12 years in colocation and/or hyper-scale data center design management and engineering preferred • Excellent written and oral communication • Ability to work in dynamic, time-sensitive situations with minimal oversight • Team leadership skills • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills • Ability to travel occasionally as required • Sponsorship is available for this position • Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
