📋 Description

• Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systems • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including NEC and IEC standards • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop specifications, design criteria, and project budgets • Analyze electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, including load balancing, capacity planning, and power consumption optimization • Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including preventative maintenance, testing, and repairs • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and training programs • Stay current with electrical engineering and data center technology advancements and recommend improvements • Be accountable for project success in the electrical discipline • Provide specialized technical input, mentorship, and leadership to mid-level engineers • Approve and sign off on work as Engineer of Record • Provide engineering budget and schedule estimates for large, complex projects • Lead technical client relationships and play a major role in selling • Work with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects • Travel occasionally for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus ten (10) years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or electrical engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer License (P.E.) is required • Extensive experience in electrical engineering for data centers or other critical facilities • Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA70) • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients • Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience • Experience working with building information modeling (BIM) software, specifically ACC Cloud • Experience with data center design and construction, including design criteria and industry standards • Eligible to work in the United States • Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States
