📋 Description
• Develop solutions for technical problems using scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies • Prepare technical work plans, reports, basic data, and scientific documents • Interpret and record data and conduct analyses • Compare findings with relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance • Plan, execute, analyze, and report on environmental measures in natural systems • Collect soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples using field equipment • Prepare samples for shipping and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork • Apply natural sciences knowledge to explain observations • Study contaminants and determine how to restore the environment • Review analytical data for general quality indicators in routine analyses • Coordinate with task and project managers, on-site subcontractors, and field staff • Support sampling, data collection, and field documentation • Provide technical expertise support • Primarily support Federal environmental projects
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, environmental Engineering, or another related discipline, and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience • Minimum 6 years of experience • Valid U.S. Driver's License • Must pass a motor vehicle records check • Must pass a background check • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to travel for fieldwork and/or meetings • Significant travel within the United States may be required • Proficiency in standard office suite software applications • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire • Professional registration or progress toward professional registration preferred • Database, GIS, CAD, and visualization software skills desirable • Professional written and verbal communication skills with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees
