• Perform archaeological fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator • Perform a variety of tasks supporting project staff • Gather and maintain scientific data for supervisors, including environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and client-site inspections • Assist with calculations and set up and operate equipment • Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with specifications • Maintain proper project documentation • Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories under supervision • Travel overnight for field work sessions as needed • Support field projects primarily in Oregon and Washington State
• High school graduation plus 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, with archaeological fieldwork in the PNW region • Valid driver's license with a good driving record • US Citizenship required • Flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions • Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field preferred • 5+ years of experience with archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring preferred • Completion of an archaeological field school highly desired • Experience with geospatial technology, including GPS and GIS preferred • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
