• Perform archaeological fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director, and/or Principal Investigator • Perform a variety of tasks supporting project staff • Gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisors • Conduct environmental sampling, operations and maintenance, and inspections at client sites as needed • Assist with calculations • Set up and operate equipment • Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with specifications • Maintain proper project documentation • Collect and enter data • Apply technical principles and theories under supervision • Travel overnight for field work sessions, primarily in Oregon and Washington
• High school graduation plus 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, with archaeological fieldwork in the PNW region • Valid driver's license with a good driving record • Ability to travel for projects, including overnight field work sessions • US Citizenship required • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring • Preferred: Completion of an archaeological field school • Experience with geospatial technology, including GPS and GIS • Computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office • Candidates based in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA • Flexibility for part-time, on-call workdays and times determined by project needs
