⢠Review designs, technical specifications, and drawings for civil and geotechnical aspects of dams, hydropower projects, levees, and flood control systems ⢠Develop resource plans, proposals, bid schedules, and cost estimates for dams and water infrastructure projects ⢠Review and prepare technical reports and evaluation memoranda for regulatory requirements ⢠Conduct site visits and dam inspections; oversee data collection, compilation, and evaluation ⢠Perform interdisciplinary technical reviews for technical approach, best-practice compliance, client needs, and constructability ⢠Provide construction oversight and ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications ⢠Resolve construction-related issues by evaluating challenges and proposed solutions ⢠Oversee field exploration and laboratory testing of soil and rock materials ⢠Oversee dam analysis and design teams, including seismic stability and seepage analyses ⢠Lead field quality assurance for dam and hydropower construction projects ⢠Review contractor submittals and requests for information for conformance with contract documents ⢠Coordinate with technical experts on business development and promote AECOM's dam and hydropower expertise ⢠Support upper management with business strategies for dams and hydropower projects ⢠Identify and pursue new clients and projects ⢠Travel domestically up to 15%
⢠Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Mining, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of experience as a Dam Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, Geotechnical Team Lead, or related occupation; alternatively, a Master's degree in one of these fields and 8 years of experience ⢠Experience in dam and hydropower design and construction ⢠Experience with dam safety reviews, codes, and regulations ⢠Experience with engineering during construction, resident engineering, and quality assurance and quality control ⢠Experience reviewing plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for dams and hydropower projects ⢠Experience providing technical support to Dams Project Managers, including design, analysis, inspection, and regulatory compliance activities ⢠Experience conducting geo-hazard evaluations and technical reviews ⢠Experience providing project management support, including client management, contract management, planning and execution, and financial management ⢠Experience overseeing slope stability and seepage analyses and designing slope stabilization measures for dams, spillways, and levees ⢠Experience identifying and pursuing new clients and opportunities with existing clients with business development goals ⢠Experience supervising and training staff in geotechnical investigations, analyses, reporting, and construction observation ⢠Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the US ⢠Up to 15% domestic travel required ⢠Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
