📋 Description

• Perform electrical engineering design work on assigned projects • Mentor other electrical engineers in the High Voltage/Power team • Work with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to develop design schedules and budgets • Perform power system studies and system protection settings coordination • Generate basis of design documentation for protection settings and relay configurations • Support projects during construction, startup, and commissioning • Review engineering work performed by peers • Attend client meetings • Travel occasionally to client and/or project sites for data gathering and field walks • Mentor early-career engineers and facilitate internal training sessions when requested • Serve as lead engineer on projects of all sizes • Act as a senior technical resource or technical advisor for the team • Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs • Develop study and design procedures • Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts • Complete discipline components of PS&E packages • Perform quality-control reviews of design calculations and drawings • Prepare technical specification sections • Provide input to engineering budgets and schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • 6 years of relevant protection and controls experience • Professional Engineering licensure preferred • 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years as project lead preferred • Knowledge of FERC and NERC requirements • Experience with IEC61850 • Successful track record working with remote teams • Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish • Plant startup and commissioning field experience • Power systems analysis software experience, including SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP • Relay coordination utilizing ASPEN OneLiner • Experience developing native relay setting files • Distribution automation experience • Experience working in collaborative 3D model environments, such as Navisworks • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members and customers • Occasional travel to client and/or project sites • Sponsorship is available for this role
