📋 Description

• Lead architectural design for large-scale hyperscale cloud data center and colocation projects from early concept through construction administration and closeout • Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines, construction teams, and external stakeholders to develop coordinated and integrated design solutions • Develop and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client design guidelines • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and permitting authorities to support project delivery and regulatory compliance • Serve as the architectural subject matter expert for hyperscale and colocation clients • Support operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability in facility design • Mentor and guide junior architects and designers • Maintain and apply knowledge of industry best practices and data center design trends • Support business development, proposal writing, and conceptual architectural designs for new pursuits • Work with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects for global clients • Participate in client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, and other business-critical activities as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects • Knowledge of building codes, mission critical infrastructure standards, and data center design requirements • Experience in BIM ACC (Revit), AutoCAD, and related design tools • Active U.S. Architectural license • 5+ years of experience working with hyperscale client standards and colocation facility delivery models • LEED accreditation or equivalent sustainable design credentials • Experience in fast-paced, global project environments • Extensive experience working with permitting authorities and AHJs • Leadership, communication, and project management skills • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams • Occasional scheduled travel may be required • Must be able to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location • U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available • Relocation is not available
