đ Description
⢠Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, backup power systems, and emergency systems ⢠Develop and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials, and installation drawings ⢠Ensure compliance with NEC and IEC standards and other industry codes and regulations ⢠Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on specifications, design criteria, and project budgets ⢠Analyze electrical systems for load balancing, capacity planning, issue resolution, and power-consumption optimization ⢠Monitor and maintain electrical systems through preventative maintenance, testing, and repairs ⢠Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and training programs ⢠Evaluate advancements in electrical engineering and data center technologies and recommend improvements ⢠Act as the electrical discipline lead and provide specialized technical input, mentorship, and leadership ⢠Approve and sign off on work as Engineer of Record ⢠Provide engineering budget and schedule estimates for large, complex projects ⢠Lead technical client relationships and contribute significantly to selling ⢠Work with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects
đŻ Requirements
⢠Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus eight (8) years of relevant electrical design and/or electrical engineering experience focused on data center infrastructure, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education ⢠Professional Engineer License (P.E.) or Professional Engineer Designation (P. Eng) is required ⢠Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus ten (10) years of relevant experience ⢠Extensive experience in electrical engineering for data centers or other critical facilities ⢠Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA70) ⢠Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills ⢠Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships ⢠Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance client experience ⢠Experience with building information modeling (BIM) software, specifically ACC Cloud ⢠Experience with data center design and construction, including design criteria and industry standards ⢠Periodic travel may be required for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities ⢠Relocation is not available ⢠Sponsorship is available
