📋 Description

• Support AECOM’s U.S. West Region and mining consulting team • Provide mineral exploration and resource estimation solutions across mining lifecycle services from discovery to closure • Build, analyze, and interpret exploration data using database programs and geostatistical methods • Build exploration and resource models for project due diligence and detailed mineral resource reporting • Publicly report exploration targets and/or mineral resource estimates as a Qualified Person or Competent Person under NI 43-101, S-K 1300, and JORC Code regulations • Assist with desktop planning, supervision, and evaluation of mineral exploration programs • Mentor resource geologists • Assist with exploration and mining project proposals for new and existing clients • Participate in multidisciplinary team projects • Travel to remote locations for short periods

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Geology or related field and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Registered Professional Geologist (PG) license • Broad mineral exploration experience • Proven technical competencies supporting the mining sector • Strong technical writing and communication skills • Authored all or part of a Technical Report as Qualified Person or Competent Person • Diverse background in mineral exploration, mine geology, geologic modeling, and resource estimation • Advanced understanding of applicable QA/QC and geostatistical methods • Advanced experience using geologic modeling software, preferably Leapfrog and MinePlan • Willingness to work and travel up to 15% to remote project locations • Understanding of field-level exploration and mining project risks • Sponsorship will not be provided • Relocation is not provided
