📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership on complex surface mining projects across North America • Support mining projects from early-stage studies through detailed engineering and construction support • Serve as a senior technical resource for multidisciplinary project teams • Partner with clients on mine access planning, mining method selection, mine development strategies, and infrastructure requirements • Provide technical expertise in open pit design and phase planning • Evaluate haulage systems, fleet requirements, and equipment strategies • Develop and optimize mine schedules and production plans • Support capital and operating cost estimates • Coordinate with mining, civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, and water resources engineering teams • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and design packages • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and resolve technical challenges • Support construction engineering, field investigations, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting • Ensure engineering work complies with client requirements, industry standards, and AECOM quality procedures • Travel 20% domestically and internationally

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in Mining Engineering or related engineering field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Preferred: 10+ years of progressive mining engineering experience • Experience with Minesight (MPSO), Deswik (Spatial-LHS-IS), Datamine (NPVS/Minemax), Vulcan, or similar software • Experience with Whittle software • Experience involving prefeasibility and feasibility studies • Strong technical expertise • Sound engineering judgment • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Willingness to travel 20% domestically and internationally, possibly involving extended assignments • No sponsorship is offered now or in the future • Must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
