📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership on complex surface mining projects across North America • Support mining projects from early-stage studies through detailed engineering and construction support • Serve as a senior technical resource for multidisciplinary project teams • Partner with clients on mine access planning, mining method selection, mine development strategies, and infrastructure requirements • Provide technical expertise in open pit design and phase planning • Evaluate haulage systems, fleet requirements, and equipment strategies • Develop and optimize mine schedules and production plans • Support capital and operating cost estimates • Coordinate with mining, civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, and water resources teams • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and design packages • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and resolve technical challenges • Support construction engineering, field investigations, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 20% of the time • Ensure engineering work complies with client requirements, industry standards, and AECOM quality procedures

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in Mining Engineering or a related engineering field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • 10+ years of progressive mining engineering experience preferred • Experience with Minesight (MPSO), Deswik (Spatial-LHS-IS), Datamine (NPVS/Minemax), Vulcan, or similar software preferred • Experience with Whittle software preferred • Experience with prefeasibility and feasibility studies preferred • Strong technical expertise and sound engineering judgment • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously • Willingness and ability to travel 20% domestically and internationally, potentially involving extended assignments • No sponsorship will be offered now or in the future • No relocation will be offered
