📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions • Produce and review process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications • Provide technical leadership and solve complex engineering challenges • Support project delivery • Participate in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews • Prepare process safety documentation, including Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice • Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams • Deliver projects supporting Southern Water’s £4.8bn investment programme from concept through delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science • Chartered status or demonstrable learning and development on course to achieve chartered status • Water industry experience • Experience with water and wastewater process solutions • Knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications • Ability to participate in HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews • Ability to prepare Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments • Ability to ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice • Ability to work with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams • Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
