📋 Description

• Serve as the senior mining engineering technical lead on multidisciplinary mining projects • Lead technical evaluations and engineering studies for surface mining operations • Provide technical direction during concept, prefeasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering studies • Coordinate with mining, civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, and water resources teams • Use and mentor others in mine planning programs • Perform pit, phase, and scheduling optimization • Review and sign off as Qualified Person / Competent Person for compliant reserves reporting • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and design packages • Perform engineering analyses for mine planning, infrastructure, operational improvements, and project execution • Review engineering deliverables for technical quality and industry-standard compliance • Mentor junior and intermediate mining engineers • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and resolve technical challenges • Support construction engineering, field investigations, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting • Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and AECOM quality procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Master's degree in Mining Engineering or related field preferred • 12+ years of progressive mining engineering experience preferred • Qualified Person / Competent Person credentials or Professional Engineer license preferred • Super-user expertise with Minesight (MPSO), Deswik (Spatial-LHS-IS), Datamine (NPVS/Minemax), Vulcan, or similar software • Experience using Whittle software • Experience leading technical execution of multidisciplinary mining projects • Experience supporting projects from concept through detailed engineering • Python programming / scripting experience • Ability to provide technical leadership, engineering judgment, mentorship, and sign-off on compliant reserves reporting • No sponsorship will be offered now or in the future • No relocation will be offered
