• Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under an experienced engineer • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures • Complete detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests • Propose approaches to solve new problems • Identify discrepancies in results • Perform work according to agreed budgets and schedules with moderate supervision • Design utility-scale physical substations in the power delivery industry • Attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Experience with high voltage substation design • EIT Certification • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation • Professional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire preferred • Knowledge of construction practices and constructability preferred • Experience with proposal writing and project estimating preferred • Working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes preferred • Knowledge of substation industry and technology trends preferred • Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC codes and standards preferred • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) • Ability to check the quality of own and others' work • Ability to use sound engineering judgment • Ability to manage time and workload effectively • Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available
