📋 Description

• Serve as a senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team • Provide specialized technical input to studies and utility-scale substation design • Develop study and design procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work • Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables • Develop estimates of technical efforts for projects • Perform quality-control reviews of design calculations and drawings • Prepare technical specification sections • Provide input to engineering budgets and schedules • Identify key client interests and drivers • Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members • Develop approaches to accommodate client concerns • Remove impediments obstructing the engineering team • Advise management on maximizing team ROI • Attend all client technical review meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Minimum 6 years of relevant high voltage substation design (physical) experience • Professional Engineer license (PE) • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation • Experience with CDEGS and WinIGS • Proficiency in assessing mechanical forces and thermal effects of high fault currents on rigid bus • Knowledge of construction practices and constructability • Experience with proposal writing and project estimating • Working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes • 2+ years of overseeing and managing a project team • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and assignments • Superior verbal and written communications • Good knowledge of industry and technology trends specific to substations • Strong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available
