📋 Description

• Lead the design of transmission and distribution substation projects for utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients • Provide technical guidance and apply design expertise through planning, conceptual design, detailed design, procurement, and construction support • Stay current with technologies, industry standards, and utility practices related to substations, grid modernization, and power delivery systems • Lead design tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget • Support project planning, resource coordination, technical reviews, and project execution • Provide technical oversight for upgrades, expansions, brownfield modifications, and greenfield projects • Identify and mitigate risks with project managers while maintaining project objectives and client expectations • Support construction through technical consultation, design clarifications, and resolution of field issues • Build relationships with utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients • Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, presentations, and project reviews • Support proposal development, scope definition, cost estimates, and pursuit efforts • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen client partnerships • Collaborate with regional and national teams on strategic growth initiatives • Mentor engineers and designers and support technical development and knowledge sharing • Collaborate with civil, structural, transmission, protection and control, and program management teams • Contribute to best practices and continuous improvement across the Power Delivery practice • Foster technical excellence, innovation, safety, and collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS and 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Demonstrated experience supporting transmission and distribution substation projects • Proven knowledge of electrical engineering principles, utility infrastructure, and power delivery systems • 4 years experience leading engineering tasks, reviewing technical deliverables, and coordinating project teams • Demonstrated experience with industry-standard engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, or similar tools • Periodical travel for project, client, and team needs • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote environment • Experience supporting utility, renewable energy, grid modernization, or energy transition projects • Experience mentoring designers or engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives • Familiarity with underground transmission and distribution applications • Knowledge of industry standards and codes • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future
