📋 Description

• Conduct systematic reviews of ABA treatment plans and session documentation for clinical accuracy, completeness, compliance, and client outcomes • Review individualized ABA treatment plans for medical necessity, alignment with assessment findings, evidence-based interventions, goal operationalization, and measurement systems • Assess treatment plans for payer, BACB ethical, and state regulatory compliance • Provide written feedback and actionable recommendations to supervising BCBAs and clinical teams • Track treatment plan submissions and approval statuses; escalate recurring deficiencies to clinical leadership • Review CPT 97153 session notes for protocol implementation, data collection, prompting levels, and client response • Review CPT 97155 session notes for BCBA involvement, protocol modifications, clinical rationale, and supervision documentation • Identify and communicate documentation deficiencies to clinicians • Monitor documentation error trends and collaborate on targeted training and process improvement • Maintain knowledge of payer policies, BACB ethical requirements, and state licensure requirements • Develop and refine quality audit tools, checklists, and standard operating procedures • Support audit preparation and respond to payer documentation requests • Escalate documentation-related claim issues to the VP of Quality & Compliance • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB • Active state licensure, or eligibility, in applicable jurisdiction(s) as required • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an ABA setting delivering or supervising services • Solid understanding of ABA CPT codes, particularly 97153 and 97155, and associated documentation standards • Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial-insurance payer requirements for ABA service authorization and billing • Strong analytical, written communication, and organizational skills
