📋 Description

• Lead physical site surveys at military installations to validate power, space, cooling, and connectivity requirements • Analyze existing network infrastructure to determine upgrade requirements • Develop Site Survey Reports and Installation Design Plans, including floor plans, rack elevation diagrams, and power calculations • Generate Bills of Materials to support procurement and logistics • Install, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware, including routers, switches, crypto devices, and UPS units • Load and configure Windows/Linux operating systems and apply system baselines such as STIGs • Conduct burn-in testing and system validation before final acceptance • Troubleshoot hardware/software interoperability issues in the field and coordinate with backend engineering teams • Act as primary technical liaison between the PMO and site customers • Create and maintain engineering drawings using Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD • Ensure field activities comply with safety regulations and military installation access procedures • Provide After Action Reports and daily status updates during travel to Prime • Ensure teammates remain current on required training and certifications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering with at least 10 years experience in hardware/software integration and structured cabling • Proven experience conducting site surveys for DoD or Federal Government environments • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio • Strong understanding of power requirements, including NEMA plugs, UPS sizing, and BTU calculations • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, including single-mode, multi-mode, and CAT6 • Active Secret Clearance required • Must be able to travel 90% of the time on deployments for CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in confined spaces, including server closets and raised floors • US Army Signal Brigade / DISA / DoDIN network installation/modernization experience preferred • CAD Information Technology preferred • BICSI Technician or RCDD certification preferred
