📋 Description

• Conduct physical site surveys at military installations to validate power, space, cooling/HVAC, and connectivity requirements • Analyze existing fiber/copper cabling, patch panels, and conduit to determine upgrade requirements • Develop Site Survey Reports (SSRs) and Installation Design Plans (IDPs), including floor plans, rack elevation diagrams, and power calculations • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and logistics • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, crypto devices, UPS units, and associated software/firmware • Load and configure Windows/Linux operating systems and apply DoD system baselines such as STIGs • Conduct burn-in testing and system validation before final acceptance • Troubleshoot field hardware/software interoperability issues with backend engineering teams • Create and maintain engineering drawings using Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD • Ensure field activities comply with safety regulations and military installation access procedures • Provide After Action Reports (AARs) and daily status updates during travel to the Prime • Mentor fellow technicians and interface with the Project Manager, PMO, and Government POCs • Ensure teammates remain current on required training and certifications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering with at least 5 years experience in hardware/software integration and structured cabling • Proven experience conducting site surveys for DoD or Federal Government environments • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for creating network diagrams and rack elevations • Strong understanding of power requirements, including NEMA plugs, UPS sizing, and BTU calculations • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, including single-mode, multi-mode, and CAT6 • Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret preferred • Must be able to travel 90% of the time on CONUS and potentially OCONUS deployments • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in confined spaces such as server closets and raised floors • BICSI Technician or RCDD certification preferred • US Army Signal Brigade, DISA, or DoDIN network installation/modernization experience preferred • Computer Aided Design (CAD) Information Technology preferred
