📋 Description

• Lead all words-related work across multiple projects within a single initiative, creating clear, concise, and delightful copy and training large language models to create copy • Develop inspiring, strategic ideas based on product requirements, data, and/or research • Set the quality bar for AI-generated content by writing guidelines and examples, grading and ranking model outputs, and calibrating VJs • Drive consensus with stakeholders and partners on content recommendations • Manage copy deadlines and deliver detailed copy across multiple projects • Collaborate with Design, Product Management, Legal, accessibility, and localization partners • Participate in writing team critiques to present work and sharpen teammates' work • Present content and design work to directors, executives, and other stakeholders • Set the quality bar across every product surface with judgment and taste • Shape how AI-powered, generative surfaces speak to hosts and build systems that keep the voice consistent as models change • Partner with Engineering to define ideal experiences, evaluate generated output, and iterate to improve the product

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or content strategy • Proven ability to lead content/copy work from concept to detailed design • Experience in LLM prompting, generative AI, and model evaluation, with a point of view on training writing quality into a model • Proven systems thinking and product strategy • Experience building systems—guidelines, reference examples, evals—that scale across a team • Experience writing content principles, messaging frameworks, and style guides, and adapting them into guidelines a model can be trained and evaluated against • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in all stages of design and build • Proven ability to lead systems work from concept to detailed design, including defining net-new process where none exists • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with flexibility to adjust course as models and priorities shift • Familiar working alongside other design disciplines in Figma, the primary collaboration tool • Experience working with and presenting to executive teams • Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns • Passion for Airbnb's mission, commitment to diversity, and global mindset • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
