📋 Description

• Own day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of complex professional service clients with minimal Controller or CFO oversight • Lead revenue recognition for retainer, hourly, and subscription billing structures • Manage billing reconciliations and invoicing accuracy across client engagements • Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and review, including variance analysis • Drive accounts receivable management, aging analysis, and collections strategy • Identify and resolve complex reconciling items and technical accounting issues • Informally mentor Accountants and guide client-specific work • Develop and document process improvements for client accounting cycles • Support cash flow analysis and operational forecasting with the CFO • Use processes and tools, including code red alerts, to identify and prevent fraud • Implement and maintain internal controls across client accounts • Meet or exceed billable-hours goals while maintaining service excellence • Complete internal responsibilities such as time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly initiatives • Participate in the Brand Ambassador program • Uphold security practices protecting client assets

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience • 6+ years of accounting experience with meaningful professional services exposure • Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment strongly preferred • Deep understanding of service-based billing structures, utilization metrics, realization rates, and revenue recognition • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client work independently • Strong technical aptitude across multiple accounting platforms • Proven informal mentorship or knowledge-sharing with junior team members • Excellence in written and verbal communication with business owner clients • Ability to work with minimal Controller or CFO oversight • Ability to manage retainer, hourly, and subscription billing models • Knowledge of fraud prevention and internal controls
