📋 Description

• Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury with attorney or litigation involvement • Handle casualty claims primarily in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana • Assess coverage, liability, and damages • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process • Communicate with customers and attorneys through voice calls, email, text messages, and sometimes video chat • Use innovative platforms and tools to evaluate claims • Negotiate fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage • Apply claims-handling methodologies to challenging and complex situations • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Maintain timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Protect the company financially by executing policies according to policy agreements

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of Casualty Represented or Litigation third-party claim handling experience required • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for evaluating and negotiating injury claims • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation • Candidates in the Central and Eastern time zones preferred • Must reside outside California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, and Puerto Rico • Must submit to a background investigation • Must have a dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions • Appropriate desk and seating required for home work • Reliable internet required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, including passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor
