📋 Description

• Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles with property damage and/or bodily injury involving attorneys or litigation • Assess coverage, liability, and damages • Provide customer service throughout the claims process • Communicate with customers and attorneys through voice calls, email, text messages, and sometimes video chat • Use innovative platforms and tools to evaluate claims • Negotiate fair and timely injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage • Apply claims-handling methodologies to challenging and complex situations • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Work independently in a permanent remote home-based role on a Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm EST schedule

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones • Must reside in the United States • 3+ years of moderate/complex bodily injury claim handling experience • Prior represented third-party casualty claim handling experience preferred • Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, or Washington DC bodily injury claims experience preferred • Proficient phone and other communication skills • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of tools and platforms for claims evaluation • Dedicated private home workspace free from distractions • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download/5 MB upload • Appropriate work surface and seating • Must submit to a background investigation • May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable • Individuals holding an active insurance license must terminate existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
