📋 Description

• Investigate moderate/complex represented casualty claims, including single- or multi-car accidents and represented moderate or major claims • Handle complex and highly complex specialized claims such as business interruption, loss of income, and Errors and Omissions policies • Oversee liability and bodily injury investigations • Take recorded statements • Resolve loss-of-use claims • Make payments to appropriate parties • Negotiate and settle bodily injury issues or refer unresolved issues • Summarize documents and enter notes into the claim system • Manage, research, and resolve complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues • Review medical reports for claims settlement evaluation • Research, respond to, or participate in Department of Insurance complaints or investigations • Set and update initial reserves, document rationale, and maintain claim summary notes • Determine and explain minimum coverage limits and claim value • Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process

🎯 Requirements

• Prior represented casualty claim handling experience required • Claims experience preferred in at least one of NY, NJ, PA, FL, VA, or NC • 2–5 years of moderate/complex Bodily Injury claim handling experience required • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation • Home office with a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up • Appropriate work surface and seating • Must live in the United States; position unavailable to California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Washington residents • Must submit to a background investigation • May be required to obtain an applicable adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
