📋 Description

• Investigate moderately complex and occasionally complex represented and unrepresented claims • Handle moderate and occasionally complex comprehensive personal liability claims • Take recorded statements and resolve loss-of-use claims • Make payments to appropriate parties • Negotiate and settle third-party property damage • Review estimates for claims settlement evaluation • Coordinate appraisals for highly complex, disputed claims • Determine coverage limits and claim values • Set and update reserves and document rationale and claim summaries • Serve as primary contact for policyholder attorneys and lead direct negotiations • Draft and respond to attorney correspondence, information requests, and demands • Research and respond to customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues • Summarize documents and maintain claim-system notes and files • Analyze lease agreements and condominium documents • Handle homeowners, condo, boat, and ATV policies and third-party liability perils

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of claims experience • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for evaluating and negotiating injury claims • Knowledge of innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation • Ability to handle condo claims and property liability • Prior large-loss claim and litigation handling • Regular, predictable attendance • Ability to secure required adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire, if applicable • Must terminate existing insurance-license appointments and surrender a resident producer license when instructed, if applicable • Must pass a background investigation • Must have a dedicated private home office, appropriate work surface and seating, and internet of at least 50 MB download/5 MB upload • Home office must be located in the United States; California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington residents are excluded • Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position
