📋 Description

• Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site property inspections • Investigate coverage and review damage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide • Use Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Focus expertise on water losses • Provide compassionate, clear, and exceptional service to policyholders • Independently investigate property claims and interpret policies to determine coverage • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Offer customers their preferred communication approach and keep them updated on claim progress • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Apply legal and business-standard methodologies and tactics for challenging and complex situations • Use critical thinking to solve claim-related problems • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Previous experience as an outside adjuster is highly desired • Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant estimating software • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide • Detail-oriented and organized • Residency within the North Augusta, SC area is mandatory • Ability and willingness to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one- to two-story roof • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions • Appropriate desk and seating when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Candidate must submit to a background investigation • Adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, if applicable • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
