📋 Description

• Independently manage sophisticated legacy and long-latency claims involving asbestos, environmental contamination, talc, PFAS, and other mass tort exposures • Apply advanced coverage analysis, strategic claims handling, negotiation, and litigation management skills • Analyze historical policy language, underlying facts, applicable law, and long-latency exposures to determine coverage positions and claims strategy • Manage legacy runoff claims arising primarily from policies issued during the 1970s through the mid-1980s • Develop strategies for resolving complex coverage and liability issues • Handle complex asbestos bodily injury, talc, PFAS, environmental contamination, and other mass tort claims • Evaluate environmental exposures involving soil and groundwater contamination and remediation • Manage claims involving large commercial and industrial insureds with significant liability exposure • Navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional claims across the U.S. and Canada • Manage litigated claims and coverage actions involving Allstate • Partner with internal and external counsel on litigation and resolution strategies • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and other dispute-resolution activities • Serve as a witness when required • Establish, document, and adjust case reserves and financial projections • Develop and execute strategic action plans to move complex claims toward resolution • Provide analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders • Independently manage a diverse portfolio of complex claims while maintaining accurate documentation • Ensure claim files comply with internal guidelines and standards • Work across multiple claims systems and adapt to evolving technology and AI-supported workflows • Communicate complex coverage and claim issues clearly in written and verbal settings

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience handling mass tort, asbestos, environmental, or other long-latency claims • Casualty claims experience involving complex coverage analysis, excess liability policies, or legacy runoff portfolios strongly preferred • Experience managing claims across multiple U.S. jurisdictions and/or Canada • Experience with litigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or complex claim resolution • Strong knowledge of complex casualty claims and coverage analysis • Ability to interpret and apply historical insurance policy language • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills • Proven negotiation and settlement capabilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to independently manage complex, high-exposure matters and competing priorities • Comfort working across multiple systems and adapting to new technology and AI-supported processes • High level of ownership, sound judgment, and accountability in a remote environment • Required to submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Valid Photo Identification available at the start of a virtual interview (not required for internal candidates)
