📋 Description

• Represent insured individuals and Allstate in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and uninsured/underinsured motorist cases • Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions • Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions • Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts • Counsel business clients on day-to-day legal matters • Manage projects and coordinate collaboration among legal teams • Monitor and evaluate new laws, regulations, and case law • Identify and summarize relevant legal issues • Collaborate with the Law and Regulation department • Advise business units on the impact of new laws • Monitor legal representation • Independently manage an active caseload and meet deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate • Active membership in good standing with the Connecticut State Bar • 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills • Case strategy development, legal research, and advocacy skills • Ability to manage complex disputes and work effectively under pressure • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research • LexisNexis proficiency preferred • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Ability to independently manage an active caseload and meet deadlines • Comfortable working in a remote/hybrid work environment • Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut, including Hartford and New Haven legal venues, as needed • Successful completion of a background investigation • Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
