📋 Description

• Represent insured individuals and the Company in bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases • Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions • Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions • Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts • Counsel business clients on day-to-day legal matters • Manage projects and coordinate among legal teams • Monitor and evaluate new laws, regulations, and case law • Identify and summarize relevant legal issues • Collaborate with other areas of the Law and Regulation department • Advise business units proactively on the impact of new laws • Monitor legal representation

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed to practice in the state of California • Must reside in CA, WA, AZ, NV, or OR • Juris Doctorate required • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar required • 4+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation-type skills • First or second chair jury trial experience • Proven experience with insurance defense preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and internet research • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Capacity to manage a substantial caseload • Comfortable working in a remote environment • Willing to travel throughout California for trials and court appearances as needed • Must submit to a background investigation • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
