📋 Description

• Analyze how project delays change workforce requirements, crew availability, and labor costs • Model resource constraints across multiple projects, including situations where crews remain on one project longer than planned • Develop and test scheduling, simulation, and forecasting methods using historical project data • Evaluate alternatives such as resequencing work, reallocating crews, overtime, and subcontracting • Define data requirements, validation methods, and measurable research objectives • Contribute technical methods, work plans, and findings to proposals and client deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• PhD preferred in construction engineering, civil engineering, construction management, operations research, industrial engineering, or a related field; comparable applied research experience will be considered • Experience with construction scheduling, resource allocation, project controls, or construction productivity research • Demonstrated experience with quantitative modeling, simulation, optimization, or statistical analysis • Familiarity with Primavera P6, critical path scheduling, resource-loaded schedules, or comparable methods • Ability to explain technical findings clearly to project leaders and nontechnical decision-makers • Experience with electrical and mechanical construction, data centers, utilities, energy, or major infrastructure projects is especially relevant
