Alta also provides rentals, equipment service & repair, fleet management, parts, periodic maintenance, training, warehouse safety solutions and operator-assist systems (pedestrian awareness, camera, telemetry). It serves customers across auto manufacturing, building materials, chemical & plastics, e-commerce & retail, food & beverage and processing, medical & pharmaceutical, paper & packaging, ports & terminals and third-party logistics.

📋 Description

• Identify and evaluate technology trends in the material handling industry • Research industry developments, equipment, and methodologies through publications, shows, and independent research • Lead or participate in vetting new potential technology partners • Educate the internal team on new technologies • Support sales staff on joint calls and make independent calls to evaluate customer needs • Review customer processes, material flow, and equipment • Conduct field surveys, including process time studies, physical space measurements, and equipment identification and documentation • Design material handling systems, specify equipment, and generate space design layouts using CAD software • Conceptualize, evaluate, and design automated solutions with automation vendors • Generate and support presentations of technical system proposals • Provide facility-layout consulting services incorporating automation solutions • Guide Sales Leads or clients strategically in solution development • Develop client relationships when no Sales Lead is present • Ensure solutions are prepared for proper execution and final installation

🎯 Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering • 10+ years of experience in Material Handling and/or Process Engineering • Proficiency in AutoCAD • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications • Preferred: data analysis capabilities • Preferred: 3D modeling capabilities
